FMT Shipyard & Repair is an all-encompassing facility with a complete array of equipment and a talented staff able to provide all manner of vessel and barge repair and retooling services. Our 24/7 operational approach allows us to deliver quick turnaround, and provide 24-hour video surveillance and 24-hour security service.
Our vast resources include:
- 23 acres of land / water access to perform topside repairs
- 3 dry-docks with lifting capacities from 1,100 to 3,000 tons
- 7,500 s.f. fabrication machine shop with 10-ton OH crane and over sized doors
- 10,000 s.f. of warehouse space for shipyard inventory and customer storage
- 6,000 s.f. screened blasting yard that meets DEQ standards

There is no job too big or too small. FMT Shipyard specializes in repowers, full refurbish, carpentry work, seal conversions, quick wheel changes, full underwater services, alignments, tank cleaning, and steelwork. Our machine shop can handle shafts up to 40 ft. in length, all miscellaneous machine work, tiller fabrication and blue-fitting. FMT Shipyard has an outstanding barge crew. The barge crew handles small topside repairs, pump and engine swap outs, heater repairs, pressure barge repairs, wrap around paint jobs, and all miscellaneous barge maintenance. We also specialize in 5 year and 10 year ISE/COI’s with quick turnarounds; – getting barges out of the shipyard and back into service.
