    Established in 2009, FMT Aggregate, LLC (“FMTA”), a privately owned corporate affiliate of Florida Marine Transporters, LLC (“FMT”) is poised to become the leading high volume provider of construction aggregates in the Central Gulf Coast. As a member of the Construction and Aggregates Association of Louisiana (CAAL) and AGC, FMTA provides high quality limestone material located in Missouri and Kentucky such as APAC’s Brickey’s Mills Quarry in Bloomsdale, Missouri and Warren Paving’s Slats Lucas Quarry in, Salem Kentucky for sale by way of direct barge shipments onto all navigable waterways located inside of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. We currently operate a distribution yard located in Alexandria where we can deliver directly to your job site truck or direct barge shipments. FMTA has established its yard in a strategic location to best serve our markets with reliable supplies of aggregates to include rip-rap, armor stone, gravel, rock sand, pump sand and synthetic products. FMTA understands that transportation is a major factor in determining the delivered price of aggregate and we feel that providing our own transportation gives FMTA an extremely competitive edge.  Since 1998, FMT has worked diligently constructing the newest, most operationally efficient and diverse fleet of towboats in the industry. Not only is the cost of barging a fraction of the cost of other methods of transportation, such as trucking, but FMTA provides customers with all the additional benefits of FMT’s extensive new fleet of 140 foot 6,000 horsepower towboats, each capable of pushing 30 barges carrying a minimum of 45,000 tons of cargo. These benefits include a 50% reduction in emissions and energy efficient engines that have reduced fuel consumption by 2,000 gallons per day per vessel. By utilizing FMT’s fleet of towboats as well as hopper and deck barges to transport aggregates we will be able to provide more timely shipments to our valued customers.
